Ivy Fong

Ivy brings to GCSE, a combination of both a varied and a specialized background in accounting. Early in her career, Ivy had worked for two medium-sized accounting firms that provided her with a wide range of experience in owner-managed businesses and their shareholders. Following this, she was a senior manager in a National accounting firm, in which her involvement was decidedly real estate flavoured, working on both major developers and investors. Ivy then took a sabbatical for a number of years to raise a family. Immediately before joining GCSE, Ivy worked for three years as the controller for a major Canadian residential homebuilder. Ivy joined GCSE in 2002.

Ivy obtained a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin. She earned her Ontario CA designation in 1978.

Ivy thoroughly enjoys playing piano (stay tuned for upcoming concerts). She also gives back to the community by teaching at Sunday School. Ivy is married to Joseph and has two daughters, Tracy and Amy. Ivy keeps fit and when she is not busy perfecting her swim strokes she is out walking Chloe, her very opinionated Shih-Tzu.
